Diverse,
high-energy acoustic rock is the essence behind Spare Time,
a duo made up by musicians Eric Harvey and Rob Kudyba. With a list
of around 200 songs, Rob & Eric cover a wide range of tunes from the
60’s to today. Anything from Elvis, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin
to covers from John Mayer, Dave Mathews, and The Foo Fighters. The
duo formed as a natural progression from a previous original project
almost four years ago.
Eric is a classically trained singer and a trumpet player,
graduating from Ithaca College with a minor in music. He hit the
stage during school, performing in several musicals and multiple
choral groups. He also kept up his trumpet playing in jazz bands.
Eric’s most memorable moment over the years was when he was touring
with his college choir and performed at Carnegie Hall. The rock and
roll world permeated through Eric’s music veins when school ended,
and he has since hit the circuit with several original and cover
bands, performing throughout the Northeast. Over the last five
years, Eric has picked up the guitar, jokingly defining himself as
"hacker that can keep up".
Rob has played with his fair share of groups that vary in styles and
influences. His gigs have ranged from jazz to polkas to heavy
metal. But the feedback before a live audience is what drives Rob.

and continues to collaborate with local singer/songwriters.
The amalgamation of Spare Time allows for a refreshing
and unique blend in sound. The energy they bring to the stage as
well as their diverse repertoire keeps people coming out for more.
Why the name Spare Time? Music is something Rob &
Eric enjoy enough to participate in at any spare moment in their
life. Eric & Rob live in Westchester County and can be seen playing
there, New York City, The Bronx, and Connecticut.
Spare Time also enjoys audience participation. Their
song list is always available to peruse as they encourage people to
request a favorite tune to hear during the show. Their goal is to
entertain, have some fun, and leave their audience wanting to hear
more!
